Editing a Voice in Detail [VOICE EDIT]
Edit Operation
Assigning the Pedal 1 function [Pedal 1]
Assigning the Pedal 2 function [Pedal 2]
Assigning the Pedal 3 function [Pedal 3]
You can assign a function to a pedal connected to the
pedal jack.
Press the D [–]/[+] buttons to select one of the following
functions:
Sustain...........On/Off switch-type damper (page 39)
SustainCont ...Damper effect that sustains notes longer
when you press the pedal further down
(page 39)
Sostenuto.......Sostenuto pedal (page 39)
Soft................Soft pedal (page 39)
Expression .....Adds accents to notes being played.
Off.................No function is assigned.

functions:

Assigning the modulation wheel function
[Modulation]
You can specify the parameter controlled by the modula-
tion wheel.
Press the D [–]/[+] buttons to select one of the following
functions:
Expression......Adds accents to notes being played.
Main
Volume ..........Changes the volume level of the Main part
notes being played.
Layer
Volume ..........Changes the volume level of the Layer
part notes being played.
(Displayed only when Main is in Dual
mode.)
LeftVolume ....Changes the volume level of the Left part
note being played.
LeftLayer
Volume ..........Changes the volume level of the LeftLayer
part note being played.
(Displayed only when Left is in Dual
mode.)
RotarySpeed...Changes the rotary speaker’s rotation
speed during performance
VibeRotor ......Changes the vibraphone’s vibrato speed
during performance
Modulation ....Adds modulation accents.
ReverbSend....Adds reverb accents to notes being
played.
ChorusSend ...Adds chorus accents to notes being
played.
Brightness ......Adds brightness accents to notes being
played.
Harmonic ......Adds resonance accents to notes being
played.
After Touch.....Adds after-touch accents to notes being

All parameters accessed via the [VOICE EDIT] button are performance parameters (page 30).
TIP
Recommended pedals:
For the Sustain, SustainCont, Sostenuto, and Soft func-
tions, use FC3, FC4/FC5, FC7 pedals. For other functions,
use FC7.
