Sampling is een krachtige functie die u in staat stelt om uw eigen opgenomen geluiden – uw stem, een instrument, ritmes, spe-
ciale geluidseffecten, enz. – in te voeren in het systeem van deze synthesizer, en deze geluiden net als elke andere voice te be-
spelen. Deze geluiden, de audiodata die u met de functie Sampling heeft geregistreerd, worden 'Samples' genoemd.
De data die u heeft gecreëerd met sampling zijn verschillend en afhankelijk vanuit welke modus u de modus Sampling activeert
— de modus Voice/Performance of de modus Song/Pattern. In deze sectie beschrijven we hoe de functie Sampling te gebrui-
ken vanuit de modus Voice/Performance, voor het creëren van een uservoice.
nZie blz. 173 voor instructies over het gebruik van de functie Sampling in de modus Song/modus Pattern.
Om de functie Sampling te kunnen gebruiken, moeten er DIMM-modules in het instrument geïnstalleerd worden. Voor details over het installeren van DIMMs, zie blz. 289.
Afhankelijk van de grootte van de audio(sample)-data die worden verkregen via de functie Sampling, kan het zijn dat u niet alle data weg kunt schrijven naar een
SmartMedia-kaart (maximum capaciteit: 128 MB). Daarom adviseren we u een USB-opslagapparaat met grote opslagcapaciteit te gebruiken voor uw sampledata.

nAls de voiceparameter hierboven is ingesteld op 'off' kunt u het ge-
samplede geluid niet als een voice beluisteren, na het afronden van
deze handeling. U kunt echter het gesamplede geluid oproepen door
een waveform te selecteren. Voor details over hoe een waveform te
selecteren, zie blz. 174.

de modus Voice of modus Performance om de
modus Sampling te activeren.

voor het instellen van de samplebron op te roe-
pen en stel vervolgens de parameters in zoals
hieronder aangegeven.

Druk op de knop [F1] DEST om de display voor
het instellen van de samplebestemming op te
roepen en stel vervolgens de parameters in zoals
hieronder beschreven.
Waveform
Bepaalt het waveformnummer. Selecteer een nummer dat
geen data bevat (er wordt [--- :-----------] aangegeven).
Voor details over de waveform, zie blz. 173.
KeybankStel hier deze parameter in op 'C3'. Nadat het samplen
is afgerond, kunt u het gesamplede geluid horen door
op de toets te drukken die hier is ingesteld. Voor details
over de 'Keybank', zie blz. 173.

Dit is beschikbaar als u de modus Sampling activeert
vanuit de modus Performance. Deze parameter bepaalt
de performancepart waaraan de voice (hieronder) wordt
toegewezen, die wordt gecreëerd met het samplen.
Voice
Stel de bank in op 'USR1' of 'USR2' (één van de normale
uservoicebanken) en selecteer vervolgens een nummer
van een normale uservoice. Nadat het samplen is afge-
rond, kunt u de gecreëerde voice horen door het voice-
