To stop recording temporarily
1 Press the stop button of the Video-CD player.
2 Choose the selection to be recorded next by using the
or button, and then press the play/pause /
button of the Video-CD player to resume recording (or
simply press the track number input button on the remote
control transmitter).
To stop recording
Press the stop button of the tape deck.
(At this time, disc playback will not stop.)
Recording programmed tracks
Programmed tracks from one or more discs can also be
recorded in the same way.
1 Program desired tracks from one or more discs. (Refer to
page 21 for the programming procedure.)
2 Follow steps 2–5 on the previous page.
3 Press the play/pause / button of the Video-CD
player.
Notes
•
During Synchronized Recording, when more than 4
seconds elapse between tracks, the tape will stop
automatically and resume recording when the beginning
of the next track is found.
•
The Synchronized Recording will function even when the
Video-CD player is turned into random play mode.
•
The Synchronized Recording cannot be made when this
unit is in the Playback Control mode (“PBC” is illuminated
on the display). To record a Video-CD, version 2.0, cancel
the Playback Control mode.

Returning the tape to the point where the recording started automatically (REC RETURN function)
During recording, by only pressing the or button,
you can rewind the tape to the point where the recording
started automatically.
•
Press the button when the play direction indicator
is lit up.
•
Press the button when the play direction
indicator is lit up.
* This function is available to all recording methods.
