Eine Möglichkeit, um Informationen über den Fernseher abzurufen. Sie
wurde Anfang der 1970er Jahre im Vereinigten Königreich entwickelt. Zu
den angebotenen textbasierten Informationen gehören in der Regel
nationale und internationale Nachrichten, Sportnachrichten, die
Wettervorhersage und das Fernsehprogramm. Optionale Untertitel werden
ebenfalls über das Teletextsignal (normalerweise auf den Seiten 888 oder
777) übertragen.

YPbPr
Ein im Bereich der Videoelektronik, insbesondere bei Komponenten-
Videokabeln, verwendeter Farbraum. YPbPr ist die analoge Version des
YCbCr-Farbraums. Die Zahlenwerte sind bei beiden gleich, jedoch ist
YPbPr für die Verwendung in analogen Systemen vorgesehen, während
YCbCr für das Digitalfernsehen entwickelt wurde. YPbPr wird häufig als

andere Arten von Component Video gibt (meist RGB mit Synchronimpulsen
auf Grün oder ein bzw. zwei separaten Signalen).
YPbPr wird aus dem RGB-Videosignal konvertiert, das in die drei
Komponenten Y, PB und PR aufgeteilt wird.
* Das Y-Signal überträgt die Helligkeit oder Luminanz des Bildes und sendet
eben falls Synchronimpulse.
* PB ist die Differenz zwischen Blauanteil und Luminanz (B-Y).
* PR ist die Differenz zwischen Rotanteil und Luminanz (R-Y).
Das Senden eines Signals für Grün wäre redundant, da es aus den
Informationen für Blau, Rot und Luminanz gewonnen werden kann.
Zugangsberechtigungssystem
Zugangsberechtigungssysteme werden von verschiedenen Herstellern
angeboten. Zu den bekanntesten Systemen gehören Irdeto Access,
Nagravision, Conax, Viaccess, Verimatrix und NDS.
