De SMTP-serverinstellingen configureren:
1. Open uw webbrowser, typ het IP-adres van de printer in het adresveld en druk dan op Enter
of Return.
Opmerking: Zie Het IP-adres van uw printer zoeken op pagina 37 voor informatie over het
opzoeken van het IP-adres van uw printer.
2. Klik op Properties (eigenschappen).
3. Onder Protocols (protocollen) in het deelvenster links klikt u op Email Server (e-mailserver).
4. Voer de volgende informatie in:
• Host Address (hostadres): voer het IP-adres of de DNS-naam van de SMTP-server in.
• SMTP Port (SMTP-poort): voer het standaard poortnummer voor SMTP (25) in, of selecteer
een nummer uit de beschikbare reeks.
5. Selecteer een Authentication Type (type verificatie).
6. Voer een geldige aanmeldingsnaam en een geldig wachtwoord in.
7. Schuif het scherm door en klik op Save Changes (wijzigingen opslaan).
Opmerking: Neem contact op met uw internet service provider (ISP) of systeembeheerder voor de
naam (of het IP-adres) van uw SMTP-server. Voor sommige ISP's is verificatie vereist. Zorg daarom
dat u het type verificatie, de aanmeldingsinformatie en het wachtwoord hebt.
U kunt nu naar een e-mailadres scannen. Zie Scannen naar een e-mailadres instellen op pagina 56
voor meer informatie.
Scannen instellen met USB
Als uw printer is aangesloten met een USB-kabel, kunt u naar een map op uw computer of naar een
toepassing scannen. Voordat u begint met scannen, moet u eerst het scannerstuurprogramma
installeren. Zie De software installeren op pagina 40 voor meer informatie.
Scannen instellen om naar een map op uw computer te scannen met USB
Voordat u naar een map op uw computer kunt scannen, moet u eerst het hulpprogramma
Express-scanbeheer installeren. Zie De software installeren op pagina 40 voor meer informatie.
1. Start Express-scanbeheer:
• Windows: Klik op Start > Programma's > Xerox > WorkCentre 6505 > Express-scanbeheer.
• Macintosh: Navigeer naar Programma's > Xerox > WorkCentre 6505 en dubbelklik op
Express-scanbeheer.
2. Klik op OK om de map van het standaard bestemmingspad te accepteren, of klik op Blader om
naar een andere map te gaan.
3. Klik op OK.
U kunt nu naar een map op uw computer scannen. Zie Scannen via een USB-aansluiting naar een map
op een computer op pagina 121 voor meer informatie.
