Releasing Active Jobs using Internet Services
Internet Services uses the embedded web server on the device. This allows you to communicate
with the device over the internet or intranet through your web browser.
Use the Active Jobs page to manage your job from the device. You can view current jobs, delete or
release jobs, and modify the print settings of jobs held in the device print queue.
Jobs can be held in the Active Jobs list for various reasons, such as, if the job is a Secure Print job
waiting for the sender to enter a passcode to release it, or if the device does not have a specific
paper type which was selected for the job.
The job information is shown for each job.
• Job Name the title of the print job.
• Owner the person submitting the job.
• Status the current status of the job.
• Type identifies the job category, for example, whether the job is a Sample Set or Secure Print
job.
• Copy Count displays the number of copies requested for the job.
Use the Release option when you want to send a Sample Set job to print at the device.
Use the Sample Set option to print one copy of a multiple-copy print job. When you collect the print
you can check it has printed as you expected before approving the rest of the job for printing. If the
first copy is not correct you can cancel the rest of the copies and resubmit the job with different
print settings.
