The door is always locked while a programme is running. It is not possible to
open the door while the door lock indicator is on. To open the door by force can
damage the appliance seriously.
Press the button -START / PAUSE- if you want to open the door in case of an
emergency. It is very important to check the water level and water temperature
inside the drum before opening.
If you cannot open the door after 2 minutes, you can select the spin programme
to drain the water. Then switch off the appliance and open the door.
If the temperature inside the washing drum is higher than 50
0
C, the door cannot
be opened. You have to wait until the temperature in the washing drum has
decreased.
3.10.1 Child protection function
The appliance is equipped with an automatic child protection function.
If the closed door of the appliance is opened again before the programme starts,
the child protection function will be activated automatically.
1. The door is opened again before the programme starts.
2. Close the door and start the programme.
3. The child protection function will be activated, i.e.:
a) the motor of the appliance runs for a while but the programme does not start
yet.
b) the door lock will be unlocked for approx. 2 - 3 seconds so that the door can
be opened from the inside.
c) if the door is opened during this operating pause, the appliance switches off
automatically.
CAUTION! When the washing machine starts the programme after the
operating pause, the door will be locked again and can no longer be
opened from the inside.
3.11 Unbalance protection
The appliance is equipped with an unbalance protection to avoid strong
vibrations of the appliance during spinning.
Before starting spinning the appliance needs a certain period to space the laundry
evenly.
