Operating times
Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in your
country.
Oil Fill (fig. B1)
Check oil level regulary before mowing!
To check, do not screw in the dipstick.
Fill crankcase with quality oil SAE 30 up to the marking „Full“
on dipstick.Capacity approx. 0.5 litre . Lift mower slightly on the
oil filter side whilst pouring oil slowly.
Filling with Petrol (fig. B2)
Do not smoke - no naked flames!
Switch off engine.
• Avoid spilling petrol when engine is warm.
Use „low-octane petrol“ (do not use Super Plus).
• Avoid petrol spillage.
Do not inhale vapour.
Attaching of grassbox (fig. B3/M1)
1. Lift deflector lid (M1, 6).
2. Locate grassbox hook into opening of chassis (see arrow, B3).
3. Replace lid
Use of height adjustment (fig. B4)
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has
come to complete standstill.
Place hand into handle bar and depress button (1). Lift or
lower chassis until it engages into required position (2).
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do
not set cutting position too low when mowing very tall or wet
grass. We recommend an average cutting height of 4,5 cm.
Start (g. B5/B6/B7)
On a at surface, if possible not in high grass.
Cold start
1. Open gas cock. Gas cock B5 (A) in position B5 (B).
2. Set hand throttle B6 (1) on start.
3. Raise and hold the safety bracket B6 (3). Pull starter grip
B7 and return it slowly by hand.
4.
After starting, slowly move the hand throttle to “Operate”.
Wheel drive (only Premio 40/46 HA)
1. Wheel drive on: Raise drive bracket B7 (5).
2. Wheel drive off: Relapse drive bracket B7 (5).
Warm start
1. Set hand throttle B6 (1) on operate.
If the motor does not start after the second attempt,
then place the hand throttle on start and start again.
Stop Motor
Release safety bracket B6 (3)..
Mowing
Always mow using throttle lever setting „Power“. Start engine
with mower placed on level and firm ground. Turn mower on
lawn area already mown. Do not leave mower standing with
engine running for longer than absolutely necessary.
Emptying of grassbox (g. B8)
Only when mower is stionary and rotating blade has come
to complete standstill.
Box lling indicator: The ap drops down when grassbox is full.
To ensure properfunctioning of the indicator it is important that
the grilles below are kept clean using a hand brush.
Fixing of handle and adjustment of height (fig. M1/M2/M3)
ATTENTION! Take care that theswitch cable does not
become caught and crused when folding the handle
frame.
Fold upper handle sction forward. Tighten hand wheels firmly.
Fold complete handle backwards, position at the correct
height and tightem firmly.
Folding of Handle frame (fig. M3)
CAUTION! The Bowden cables must not be crushed when
folding or unfolding the handlebar.
Unscrew the lower hand wheels for about 2 cm/1“ either
side, pull handle frame either side, pull handle frame clear of
recesses until it can be foded forward easily.
Starter cord assembly (fig. M4/B6)
1. Lift and hold operator presence bail arm B6 (3)
2. Pull the starter rope slowly to the holding bracket
3. Twist the cord through the holder M4
Always remove the starter cord from the holder before
folding the mower handles.
Mount grass catcher (g. M5/M6)
Maintenance
• Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key before
proceeding
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth
or brush (W1).
• Do not spray with water. Keep mower in a dry room.
Cleaning operations and blade change (fig. W2)
When cleaning the mower and changing blades, lay the mower
on its right hand side as illustrated. Pull off the spark plug lead.
