General

Operating times

z Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in your

country.

Oil Fill

1 Check oil level with mower standing on level ground.

Fill crankcase with quality oil SAE 30 up to the mark „Full“

on dipstick. (Do not overfill.) Capacity approx. 0,6 litre.

Screw in dipstick according to illus.

Filling with fuel

1 Caution! Rotating blades

Settings only to be carried out on the machine with the mo-

tor switched off and with the working tools at a standstill.

z Use only normal lead-free petrol.

z Avoid spilling petrol.

z Do not inhale the vapour.

Set cut height

1 Attention! Rotary cutter blade

Undertake work/adjustments on the equipment only after

the motor is switched off and the cutting tool has come to a

standstill.

z To raise the cutting height turn the button in direction „+“

(1).

z To reduce the cutting height turn the button in direction „-„

(2).

z The display at the front wheel shows the adjusted cut-

ting height in mm

(3).

Selection of Cutting height

z If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do

not se cutting position too low when mowing very hight or wet

grass.

z We recommend an average cutting height of 40-50 mm.

Start

z On a flat surface, if possible not in high grass.

1. Open gas cock .

2. Press locking forward

(1).

3. Raise and hold the safety bracket (2).

4. Pull starter grip and return it slowly by hand.

Wheel drive

1. Wheel drive on: Raise drive bracket (4).

2. Wheel drive off: Relapse drive bracket (4).

Stop Motor

z Release safety bracket.

Tips for mowing

z To prevent strips of grass from being left unmowed, the cutting

paths must always overlap a few centimeters .

Cut / Collect

Hang up collection bag

1 Attention! Rotary cutter blade

Undertake adjustments on the equipment only after the

motor is switched off and the cutting tool has come to a

standstill.

z See illustrations .

Emptying of Grassbox

When the collection bag is full, the flap lowers by itself .

z Empty collection bag.

z Remove potential blockages in the cutting space before star-

ting.

Mulch

„Mulching“ is a process in which the grass is finely chopped by a

special cutting system and then deposited on the ground. The re-

sult is that the grass does not have to be collected and disposed

of. „Mulching“ also prevents the lawn from drying out.

3 Instructions for mulching

We recommend:

z Depending on the growth of grass, mulch 1 – 2 x per

week

z The grass should not be too high nor too wet!

z Go slow while mulching

z Take care that the blade channels do overlap.

z Do not cut grass more than 20 mm.

3 Note:

Mulching is not advisable in case of moss-affected or

entangled grass, because the cut material stays on the

moss surface and/or entanglement and thus cannot be

absorbed by the ground.

z Regularly scarify and manure the lawn.

Mulching kit

1 Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has

come to complete standstill.

z Assemble as shown in illustrations .

z Disassemble: as shown in illustrations .
