Starting up the appliance
The purée rod (6) can be used to strain soft fruit and cooked vegetables and
to prepare baby food and purées. Cut large pieces of food into smaller pieces
beforehand.
Clean all parts as described in the “cleaning and care” section before allowing
them to come into contact with food.
Prepare the desired food and place it in a container that is high enough, wide
enough and stable.
Make sure that the device is disconnected from the power supply.
Attach the purée rod (6) below to the coupling on the drive unit (4) at symbol
(5) and turn it anticlockwise to symbol
(5), until the two symbols sit flush with
each other
. Click the purée rod (6) into place. The purée rod (6) must sit firmly
on the appliance and should not be loose or fall off.
Use the speed controller (1) to select the desired speed. You can also change this
during operation.
Keep the purée rod (6) held in the food.
Caution: There may be a slight spray during operation. To avoid spray, the lower
end of the purée rod (6) with the blades should always be completely covered.
Keep the appliance slightly angled with liquid foods in order to achieve a better
mixing.
If you are preparing hot food, make sure you do not hold the appliance in the
steam so as to avoid condensation on the drive unit (4).
You can use a small clean cloth to protect the drive unit (4) and your hands from
the hot steam. Immediately wipe off any condensation on the housing.
Now you can insert the mains plug into the socket.
Firmly hold the container with one hand and press the on button
(2); the
motor starts up.
As soon as your food has reached the desired consistency, release the on button
(2).
Alternatively, you can press the turbo button (3) to process the food at maximum
speed.
Wait for the motor and purée rod (6) to come to a standstill and then remove it
from the container.
Always remove the mains plug from the socket before you place the appliance on
a suitable base.
