INSTRUCTION MANUAL · BELL and HOME
MAKING WAFFLES
1. Insert the plug into a standard electrical outlet. Make sure that the voltage
to be used agrees with the rated voltage of your appliance.
2. Close the wafe iron and prepare wafe batter while the wafe iron heats up.
Set the thermostat regulator to the desired setting.
3. The power (red), indicator lights will light up. When the green indicator
lights up (after about 4 minutes), the wafe iron is ready for baking.
4. Open the appliance and pour the wafe batter onto the centre of the lower
hotplates. Using the included ladle will result in the correct amount of batter
being used. Close the appliance carefully. Do not force shut. Steam may be
ejected from between the hotplates.
5. When the green indicator light turns off, the red indicator light will light.
After few minutes the green light will light up and the wafe is ready.
6. If you think the wafe is too light or too dark, adjust the thermostat.
Note:
Care must be taken to ensure that ngers do not come into contact with the
hotplates.
During baking, the ready light will turn on and off as the thermostat keeps
the wafe iron at the right temperature.
Your wafe will bake in about 2 minutes or longer depending on your
personal tastes. When baking is nished, open the wafe iron and remove
the wafe with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this
may damage the non-stick coating. The appliance should be kept closed
in-between baking wafes.
After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.
AUDIO SIGNAL
Only applies to Wilfa BELL (WM-623BELL). This model is equipped with an audio
signal, which can be turned on and off. The on/off button is found under the
handle.
HELPFUL HINTS
Always preheat the wafe iron before baking. Plug the wafe iron in rst, and
prepare the batter while the wafe iron is heating.
If you want light-coloured wafes, turn the thermostat lower (to the left). If
you prefer darker wafes, turn the thermostat higher (to the right).
If the lid resists lifting allow the wafe to bake a little longer, and then try
lifting the lid again.
If the wafe sticks to the top cooking plates, remove them with a plastic or
wooden spatula.
Let wafe cool slightly on an oven grate before eating to avoid possible
burns.
