Efter rengöringen sätter du försiktigt in vermiculitplattorna igen, börja med ryggplattan.
Brännkammarens effektiva, men porösa isolering kan skadas och bli sliten med tiden. Om
ryggplaten spricker kan det leda till att sekundärluften fördelas fel i brännkammaren och därför
bör den bytas ut. Braskaminens effektivitet påverkas inte av att någon av de andra plattorna
spricker. De bör emellertid bytas ut när mer än hälften av den ursprungliga tjockleken har slitits
ned.
Efterbehandling av ytor
Braskaminens ytor behöver inte efterbehandlas, men om lacken har skadats kan du reparera
den med en speciell Senothermspray som du kan köpa hos din kaminåterförsäljare.
Skorstenssotning
För att förebygga risken för skorstensbrand ska skorstenen sotas en gång om året. Rökröret
och rökkammaren ovanför baffelskivan av stål ska sotas samtidigt som skorstenen. Om det
inte går att sota skorstenen uppifrån på grund av dess höjd ska en renslucka monteras.
Servicekontroll
WIKING rekommenderar en noggrann servicekontroll vartannat år för att säkerställa att din
braskamin håller i många år. Servicekontrollen ska utföras av en behörig montör och det bör
endast användas originalreservdelar.
En servicekontroll inkluderar bland annat:
• noggrann rengöring av kaminen
• justering av handtag/lucka
• smörjning av gångjärn med kopparfett
• kontroll av värmeisolerande plattor (vermiculitsetet)
• kontroll av spjället under luckan
• kontroll av packningar samt byte av slitna delar.
