Before any cleaning or maintenance
operation, unplug the appliance from the
mains or disconnect the electrical power
supply.
Clean the appliance with a sponge soaked in
warm water and/or neutral detergent. Do not
use abrasive products.
Rinse the interior and dry with a soft cloth.
Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Do not
use abrasive products, scourers, stain-
removers (e.g. acetone, trichloroethylene) or
vinegar.
Built-in appliances
Clean air vents periodically with a vacuum
cleaner or a brush (A).
Free-standing appliances
Periodically clean the condenser at the rear
of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner or a
brush (B).
Prolonged disuse
1. Empty the refrigerator and freezer
compartments.
2. Unplug the appliance.
3. Defrost and clean the interior.
4. When not in use, leave the door of the
appliance open to prevent oxidation, the
formation of mould and unpleasant odours.

7. Excessive frost build-up in the freezer
compartment.
Is the door shut properly?
Is food obstructing proper door closure?
There is, however, no defect is occurring if:
The front edge of the appliance is hot (this
prevents the formation of condensation).
Gurgling and screeching noises can be heard
coming from the appliance: this is caused by
the circulation of the refrigerant fluid.
