After removing the appliance packaging, make sure it has not been damaged during transportation. In the event of problems, contact the dealer or the After-
Sales Service. To prevent damage from occurring, only remove the appliance from its polystyrene foam base at the time of installation.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

The minimum distance between the support surface of the recipients on the cooking device and the lowest part of the hood must not be less than 45 cm in the
case of electric cookers and 65 cm for gas or combination cookers.
Furthermore, before installation, check the distances specified in the hob user manual.
If the installation instructions for the cooker specify a greater distance between cooker and hood, this distance must be observed.
CONNECTION TO THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY
Make sure the power voltage specified on the appliance rating plate is the same as the mains voltage. This is located inside the hood, and can be seen if you
remove the grease filter.
The power cable (H05 VV-F type) must only be replaced by qualified personnel. Contact an authorised Service Centre.
If supplied with a plug, connect the appliance to a socket complying with current regulations and located in an accessible area. If it does not have a plug (direct
connection to the mains power supply) or if the socket is not in an accessible place, fit a suitable double-pole switch that ensures complete disconnection from
the power supply in category III overvoltage conditions, complying with the installation rules.

Before use
Remove cardboard protection pieces, protective film and adhesive labels from accessories.
Make sure the appliance has not been damaged during transportation.
During use
Do not place heavy objects on the appliance, as doing so may damage it.
Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents.

The packing material is 100% recyclable and is marked with the recycle symbol . The various parts of the packing must therefore be disposed of responsibly
and in full compliance with local authority regulations governing waste disposal.
Scrapping the product
- This appliance is marked in compliance with European Directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
- By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which
could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.
- The symbol on the product or on the accompanying documentation indicates that it should not be treated as domestic waste but must be taken to an
appropriate collection centre for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
