INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Has the packaging been removed from under the appliance?
Note: gurgling noises from the refrigerating circuit after the
compressor cuts out are perfectly normal.

Is the thermostat setting correct?
Has the fast freeze function (depending on model) been
pressed by mistake?
6. Too much ice on the upper edge.
Are the defrost water drainage plugs correctly positioned?
Is the appliance lid properly closed?
Is the appliance lid seal damaged or deformed? (See chapter
"Installation")
Have the 4 protection pieces been removed? (See chapter
"Installation")
7. Condensation forms on the external walls of the
appliance
It is normal for condensation to form under certain
atmospheric conditions (humidity above 85%) or if the
appliance is located in a damp or poorly ventilated room. The
performance of the appliance is in no way affected.
8. The layer of ice on the internal walls of the appliance is
not uniform.
This phenomenon is quite normal.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing
The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and marked with
the recycling symbol. Follow local regulations for scrapping.
Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts,
etc.) out of reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous.
2. Scrapping
The appliance is manufactured using recyclable material .
This appliance is marked according to the European directive
2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE).
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help
prevent potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product.
The symbol on the product, or on the documents
accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance may not
be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to
the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment.
Before scrapping, make the appliance unusable by cutting off the
power cable and removing the doors and shelves so that
children cannot easily climb inside the appliance.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local
environmental regulations for waste disposal. Deliver the
appliance immediately to an authorized dump; do not leave it
unattended even for a few days, since it is potentially dangerous
for children. For more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please contact your local
city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop
where you purchased the product.
Information:
This appliance does not use CFC. The refrigerant system
contains either R134a (HFC) or R600 (HC). Refer to the rating
plate inside the appliance.
Appliances with Isobutane (R600a): isobutane is a natural gas
without environmental impact, but is flammable. Therefore,
make sure the refrigerant circuit pipes are not damaged.
This product may contain Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases
covered by the Kyoto Protocol; the refrigerant gas is inside a
hermetically sealed system.
Refrigerant gas: R134a has a Global Warming Potential of (GWP)
1300.
Declaration of conformity
This appliance is intended for storing food and is
manufactured in conformity with European regulation (EC)
No. 1935/2004.
This product has been designed, manufactured and marketed
in compliance with:
- the safety objectives of Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC
(replacing 73/23/EEC and subsequent amendments);
- the protection requirements of Directive "EMC"
2004/108/CE.
• The electrical safety of the appliance can only be guaranteed if
the product is connected to an approved earth connection.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before contacting After-Sales Service:
1. See if you can solve the problem yourself.
2. Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem has
been solved. If it has not, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply and wait for about an hour before switching
on again.
3. If the problem persists after this course of action, contact
After-Sales Service.

• the model,
• the service number (the number after the word SERVICE on
the rating plate on the rear of the appliance)

INSTALLATION
Lesen sie das Kapitel „VOR DEM GEBRAUCH
DES GERÄTS".
Entfernen Sie die Verpackung des Geräts.
Entfernen Sie die 4 Distanzstücke zwischen
Deckel und Gerät.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Verschluss des
Tauwasserabflusses (falls vorgesehen) korrekt
eingesetzt ist (4).
Um maximale Leistungen zu erzielen und
Beschädigungen beim Öffnen des Gerätedeckels zu
vermeiden, sind 7 cm Mindestabstand von der
Rückwand und 7 cm Freiraum auf jeder Seite zu lassen.
Setzen Sie die Zubehörteile (falls vorgesehen) ein.
1. Thermostat: Dient der Einstellung der Innentemperatur
des Geräts.
2. Rote Leuchte (falls vorgesehen): Wenn die
Geräteinnentemperatur noch nicht kalt genug ist, leuchtet
diese Leuchte.
3. Grüne Leuchte (falls vorgesehen): Wenn das Gerät
eingeschaltet ist, leuchtet diese Leuchte.
4. Gelbe Leuchte (falls vorgesehen): Bei eingeschalteter
Schnellgefrierfunktion, leuchtet diese Leuchte.
5. Schnellgefriertaste (falls vorgesehen): Schaltet die
Schnellgefrierfunktion ein und aus.
Die Konfiguration der Bedientafel kann je nach Modell
unterschiedlich sein.
Inbetriebnahme
Das Gerät wird im Werk auf die empfohlene
Betriebstemperatur von -18°C voreingestellt.
Schließen Sie das Gerät an.
Die grüne Leuchte (falls vorgesehen) leuchtet auf.
Die rote Leuchte (falls vorgesehen) leuchtet ebenfalls auf, da
die Geräteinnentemperatur noch nicht kalt genug ist, um
Lebensmittel hinein zu legen. Diese Leuchte erlischt i.d.R.
nach ungefähr 6 Stunden ab der Inbetriebnahme.
Nachdem das Gerät angeschlossen und die richtige
Temperatur erreicht worden ist (ungefähr nach einer Stunde
während der die Tür nicht geöffnet werden kann),
kontrollieren Sie ob die Schnellgefrierfunktion ausgeschaltet
ist (gelbe Leuchte aus, falls vorgesehen).
Die Tiefkühlware erst einlagern, wenn die rote Leuchte (falls
vorgesehen) erlischt.
Aufgrund der festschließenden Dichtung lässt sich der
Deckel der Gefriertruhe unmittelbar nach dem Verschließen
nicht wieder öffnen. Sie müssen einige Minuten warten,
bevor Sie den Deckel der Gefriertruhe wieder öffnen
können.
Temperatur einstellen
Die gewünschte Temperatur über den Thermostat wählen. Um
die Gerätetemperatur einzustellen, folgendermaßen vorgehen
Drehen Sie den Drehknopf des Thermostaten auf die
Position 1, falls Sie eine mäßige Lagerungstemperatur
wünschen.
Drehen Sie den Drehknopf des Thermostaten auf die
Position 6 / , falls Sie eine kältere Lagerungstemperatur
wünschen.
Falls das Gerät nur teilweise mit Lebensmitteln gefüllt wird
(d.h. die Lebensmittel liegen unterhalb des im Gerät
markierten Symbols „e" - falls vorgesehen), empfehlen wir
den Thermostat auf eine niedrigere Temperatur einzustellen
(auf die Position „e" falls diese an der Thermostatenskala
angegeben ist).
