Pred uporabo morate žar segreti (15 ali 20 minut).
Nanesite malo olja, da bo hrana enakomerno rjavo
zapečena in se ne bo prijela na rešetke. Olje vedno
nanesite na hrano in ne neposredno na rešetke.
Priporočamo, da je med peko pokrov zaprt. Zakaj?
Ker se tako zmanjša možnost vžigov, hrana pa se
hitreje in bolj enakomerno zapeče.
Če uporabljate marinado, kot je omaka ali glazura
z visoko vsebnostjo sladkorja ali drugih sestavin, ki
se hitro zapečejo, le-to nanesite na hrano v zadnjih
10 ali 15 minutah peke.
Po peki ne pozabite očistiti kuhalne rešetke in
posode za maščobo pod žarom.
Spodaj opisani kosi hrane, debelina, teža in čas
peke so namenjeni kot pomoč pri peki in ne
kot dejanska pravila. Na čas peke vplivajo razni
dejavniki, kot so veter, zunanja temperatura in
to, koliko želite zapeči hrano. Pecite glede na čas,
podan v tabeli, ali po svoji želji. Pri tem hrano
obrnite na polovici peke. Časi peke za govedino
in jagnjetino predstavljajo “srednji” čas peke, če
ni drugače navedeno. Debelejše kotlete in zrezke
pustite počivati 5 do 10 minut, preden jih razrežete.
Med tem časom se notranja temperatura mesa
dvigne za 5 do 10 stopinj.
