5: U-fase (Float)
Na de U0-fase schakelt de acculader over op druppellading (U-fase).
Als er DC-verbruikers aangesloten zijn, worden deze door het toestel van
stroom voorzien. Alleen als het benodigde vermogen groter is dan de capa-
citeit van het toestel, wordt dit extra vermogen van de accu gebruikt. Hierbij
wordt de accu zo lang ontladen tot het toestel opnieuw in de I-fase komt en
de accu oplaadt.
6: 12-daagse conditionering
Om de 12 dagen schakelt de acculader gedurende 85 min terug naar fase 1
om de accu te laden. Hierbij worden eventuele vermoeidheidsverschijnselen
zoals sulfatering verhinderd.
7 Toestel monteren
Neem bij de keuze van de montageplaats de onderstaande instructies in
acht.
Het toestel kan horizontaal en verticaal worden gemonteerd.
Monteer het toestel niet
– in een vochtige of natte omgeving
– in een stoffige omgeving
– in de buurt van brandbare materialen
– in explosieve omgevingen
De montageplaats moet goed geventileerd zijn. Bij installaties in gesloten,
kleine ruimtes moet er ventilatie mogelijk zijn. De vrije afstand rondom het
toestel moet minstens 25 cm bedragen.
De luchtinlaat aan de onderkant resp. de luchtuitlaat aan de achterkant
van het toestel moet vrij blijven.
Bij omgevingstemperaturen hoger dan 40 °C (bijv. in motor- of verwar-
mingsruimtes, directe zonnestraling), kan door de zelfverwarming van het
toestel bij belasting de prestatie worden verminderd.
Het montagevlak moet vlak zijn en voldoende stevigheid bieden.
Monteer het toestel niet in de directe omgeving van de accu’s.
Monteer het toestel niet boven accu’s, omdat corrosieve zwaveldamp van
de accu’s omhoog kan komen, waardoor het toestel wordt beschadigd.
