Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Moon and Me Call & Learn Phone.
Enjoy interactive role-play with Lambkin, Little Nana, Pepi Nana, Moon Baby,
Mr. Onion and Sleepy Dibillo. Six activities and learning games feature numbers,
counting, opposites, music, instruments and more! Pretend to call Pepi Nana
and her friends with voice-activated play!

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable
tags, cable ties and packaging screws are not part of this toy and should be
discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE: Please keep this parent’s guide as it contains important information.
Unlock the packaging locks:
Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees
anticlockwise.
Pull out the packaging locks.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom
of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the
screw.
3. Install 2 new AAA (LR03/AM-4) batteries into
the compartment as illustrated. (The use of
new, alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance).
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

BATTERY NOTICE
Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride)
rechargeable batteries for best performance.
Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc)
or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.
Do not use damaged batteries.
Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if
removable).
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries,
or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be
disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that
can be damaging to the environment and human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that
the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury
(Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in Battery Directive
(2006/66/EC).
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market
after 13th August, 2005.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. ON/OFF BUTTON
To turn the unit on, press the On/Off Button. Press the On/Off
Button again to turn the unit off.
2. 6 CHARACTER BUTTONS
Press one of the 6 Character Buttons (Lambkin, Little Nana,
Pepi Nana, Moon Baby, Mr. Onion and Sleepy Dibillo) to hear about the
characters.
3. 5 ACTIVITY BUTTONS
Press the 5 Activity Buttons to play one of the 3 learning games,
listen to some music or adjust the settings.
4. 10 NUMBER BUTTONS
Press the Number Buttons to learn numbers or to answer number-
related questions.
5. LET’S CHAT BUTTON
Press the Let’s Chat Button to enter the Let’s Chat activity. This
activity uses the voice activation feature. Speak into the microphone
when the light is on to activate a reply.

6. ENTER BUTTON
Press the Enter Button to confirm your choice.
7. ARROW BUTTONS
Press the Arrow Buttons to make a selection in activities or menus.
8. PHONE CALL BUTTON
Press the Phone Call Button to make a virtual phone call. You will
hear the phone ringing and will be prompted to leave a message. You can
change the ringtone in the settings.
9. CANCEL CALL BUTTON
Press the Cancel Call Button at any time to exit the current activity.
10. MICROPHONE
The Microphone is located towards the top of the
phone to the left of the LCD screen and is used in the
Rub-A-Dub-Dub learning game, the Let’s Chat
activity and to leave a message after pressing the
Phone Call Button. The suggested distance to keep between the
microphone and your mouth is about 10-12 centimetres.
11. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech® Moon and Me Call & Learn Phone
will automatically turn off after several minutes of inactivity. The unit
can be turned on again by pressing the On/Off Button. The unit will
also automatically turn off when the batteries are very low. A warning will
be displayed on the screen as a reminder to change the batteries.
Note: If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.

ACTIVITIES
The VTech® Moon and Me Call & Learn Phone includes the following
activities and features:
1. Moon and Me Friends
Press any of the 6 Character Buttons (Lambkin, Little Nana,
Pepi Nana, Moon Baby, Mr. Onion and Sleepy Dibillo) to hear the
character identified, their voice or sound and fun facts with related
animations.
2. Rub-A-Dub-Dub
A bathtub is shown on the screen. Blow into the microphone to roll
the bathtub. Then, a character sound is played. Guess who is hiding in
the bathtub. Press the Arrow Buttons to select and press Enter to
confirm.
3. Who’s Crossing The Bridge?
Little Nana and Lambkin are hopping across the bridge. Count the
number of times they hop. Press a Number Button to answer or press
the Arrow Buttons to select and press Enter to confirm.
4. The Surprising Carrot
A carrot is shown on the screen, press Enter 3 times to pull it out of the
ground. Next you will see 2 differing carrots. Select the correct one using
the Arrow Buttons and press Enter to confirm.
5. Music Box
Use the Arrow Buttons to select an instrument then press Enter to
hear it played followed by a melody. The characters will dance along with
the music.
6. Settings
Press this button to adjust the screen contrast, turn the background
music on or off or to select one of the 3 ringtones.

7. Let’s Chat
Call Pepi Nana and her friends! A character will be shown followed by a
number. Speak into the microphone when the light is on to answer the
questions and activate a reply. Press the Cancel Call Button at any
time to hang up.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
sources.
3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period
of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit to
excess moisture or water.
5. Do not insert sharp objects into the microphone hole.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions,
please follow these steps:
1. Turn the unit OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play with again.
5. If the unit still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
