My vonyx vpa300 wich is only a month old has started to cut : 7022

My vonyx vpa300 wich is only a month old has started to cut out the left ch only .. if I switch it off and leave for 10 mins or so it works again ... is there some sort of safety shut off device fitted and if so any suggestions on how I could prevent this from happening.. the only thing I think I might be at fault is I have the laptop sitting directly on top of the amp
