3. ASSEMBLY
Before assembly, always switch off the
machine and remove the mains plug from
the mains.
Mounting and removing the accessory (Fig. B)
Caution: drills and chisels can get very hot.
Do not use blunt drill bits or chisels.
Immediately sharpen or replace blunt drill
bits or chisels.
Mounting
Insert the accessory into the chuck (3) until a click
can be heard. If needed rotate the accessory a little
to ensure the keyway in the bit fits the chuck well.
Do not slide the locking sleeve (7) to the
rear when inserting bits.
Removing
1. Slide the locking sleeve (7) to the rear.
2. Remove the accessory from the chuck (3).
3. Release the locking sleeve (7).
Optional keyed chuck (Fig. A)
Only use the optional keyed chuck in drilling
mode! The function selector switch (5) must
be set to “drilling mode” (As shown in fig. D
function A).
1. Insert the keyed chuck with SDS shank (10)
into the chuck (3) until a click can be heard. If
needed rotate the keyed chuck a little to ensure
the keyway in the bit fits the chuck well.
2. Open the keyed chuck (10) with the chuck key
(11) by turning the rear sleeve counterclockwi-
se and insert the bit into the chuck opening.
4. Tighten the keyed chuck (10) with the chuck
key (11) by turning the rear sleeve clockwise.
Mounting and removing the auxiliary grip (Fig. A)
Mounting
1. Loosen the auxiliary grip (6) by turning it counter-
clockwise.
2. Mount the auxiliary grip (6) by sliding it over the
chuck (3).
3. Turn the auxiliary grip (6) to the required position.
4. Tighten the auxiliary grip (6) by turning it
clockwise.
Removing
1. Loosen the auxiliary grip (6) by turning it coun-
terclockwise.
2. Remove the auxiliary grip (6).
3. Tighten the auxiliary grip (6) by turning it
clockwise.
Mounting and setting depth stop (Fig. A)
1. The depth stop ruler (8) can be added to the auxi-
liary grip (6) by pushing the dept stop button (9).
2. Keep pushing the depth stop button (9) and
insert the depth stop ruler (8) through the hole
on the side handle ring.
3. Slide the ruler (8) to the desired depth.
4. Loosen the depth stop button (9).
4. OPERATION
Hammer drills require very little operator
pressure. Excessive pressure on the tool
can lead to unnecessary overheating of the
motor, and burning of the driven tool. It also
may happen the drill bit deforms and
cannot be removed from the machine again.
