Booster cushions/child seats with steel
braces or some other design that could rest
on the seatbelt buckle's opening button must
not be used, as they could cause the seatbelt
buckle to open accidentally.
Do not allow the upper section of the child
seat to rest against the windscreen.

dren in cars vary from country to country.

Child seat - ISOFIX
ISOFIX is a fixture system for car child seats
(p. 47) that is based on an international stand-
ard.
Mounting points for the ISOFIX fixture system are
located at the lower section of the rear seat
backrest, in the outer seats.
The location of the mounting points is indicated
by symbols in the backrest upholstery (see pre-
ceding illustration).
Always follow the manufacturer's installation
instructions when connecting a child seat to the
ISOFIX mounting points.

ISOFIX - size classes
There is a size classification for child seats using
the ISOFIX (p. 53) fixture system in order to
assist users in choosing the correct type of child
seat (p. 55).

WARNING
Never use a rear-facing child seat on the pas-
senger seat if the passenger airbag is acti-
vated.
