rechargeablebatteriesisnotpermitted.Werecommendtousealkalinebatteries.Theyguarantee
alongservicelife.Slidethebatterycompartmentbackupwardsuntilyoufeelitclickinplaceand
carefullyclosethecompartmentwithscrew(15).

Thevoltagetesterautomaticallyswitchesonwhenitdetectsavoltageof12Vorhigher .
WhenusingthevoltagetesterinthemeasurementcategoryCA TIIIandCA TIV ,itisrecom-
mendedtoattachtheplasticprotectivecoversprovidedtothemeasuringprobetodecrease
thelengthofthefreecontactprobes(2)and(3).Thisreducestheriskofapossibleshort
circuitduringtesting.
Foreaseofuse,theproducthasaholder(4)forasecondmeasurementline.Thismakes
measuringe.g.,directlyonthemainssocketseasier .
Fordirectcurrent,thepolarityofthevoltagedisplaysreferstothemeasuringprobeofthe
measuringinstrument(3).
Whenthebatteriesareempty ,onlythewarningindicator(5)for“DangerousV oltage”
willfunctionwhenthetestvoltagereaches50V/ACor120V/DC.Donotevertouchthe
measuringcontacts,ifthisindicatorison.Changethebatteries.
IntheLCdisplay(8),themeasuredvoltage(AC/DC)andthemeasuringrangeare
indicatedinthebargraph.
Beforeacontinuitycheck,makesurethatthemeasurementobjectisde-energised.
Connectthetwomeasuringprobeswiththeobjecttobemeasured. A signalwill
soundandtheLCD willshowthecontinuity symbol(7)andCon, ifthecontinuity
ismax.400kΩ+50%.
Disconnectthemeasuringprobesfromthemeasurementobjectafterthe
measurement.
ThevoltagetestercanbeusedtocheckwhethertheRCworksproperly .
Thevoltagetestercanonlycheckwhethertheresidualcurrentprotectivedeviceis
workingproperly .Thetestingortriggeringcurrentaswellasthetriggeringtimecannotbe
determinedanylonger!

thephase.

ThemeasurementdevicehasLEDilluminationontheoutsideofthecaseinordertoallowmeasure-
mentswhenthereislittlelight.T oactivatethisfeaturepressonthebutton(13).TheLEDswitches
offautomaticallyafterroughly30secondsofftosavebatterypower .

recommendedtohavethedevicecalibratedonceayear .
Nevercleantheproductwhileitisconnectedtoavoltagesource.Useaclean,dry ,softclothfor
cleaning.Donotuseaggressivecleaningagentsasthesecancausediscolouration.T oprevent
scratchmarks,donotpresstoostronglyonthesurfacewhencleaning.
Pleasedisposeoftheunserviceableproductaccordingtotherelevantstatutoryrequire-
