Do not measure voltage higher than 500 V / 500 V(rms). It may damage the
internal circuit.
Do not contact circuits or parts of circuits if there could be voltages higher
than 25 V AC(rms) or 35 V DC present within them. Mortal danger!
Before measuring, check the connected measuring cable for damage such as,
for example, cuts, cracks or squeezing. Defective measuring cables must no
longer be used. Mortal danger!
Standby mode
Press the ‘power on’ button to turn the digital multimeter on. The meter is in standby mode when
there is no signal input. The LCD shows ‘ALL ’ in standby mode. Press the ‘power on’ button again
to turn off the digital multimeter .
Data hold
Press the ‘data hold’ button to freeze the reading. Press it again to release the reading.
Sleep mode
The digital multimeter enters the sleep mode if the meter is not used for 15 minutes. Press any
button to wake it up.
DC V oltage measurement

voltage measurement.
Read the measured voltage on the display . When the voltage value is over range, ‘OL ’ 2.
appears on the display .
When the measured voltage is less then 1 V (rms), the digital multimeter switches to
resistance measuring mode automatically .
Resistance and continuity measurement
T o avoid electrical shock or damage to the digital multimeter , make sure the
power to the circuit is turned off and all capacitors are discharged before
measuring resistance or continuity .
T ouch the test leads to the desired test points on the circuit. 1.
Read the measured resistance on the display . If the resistance value is over range, ‘ALL ’ 2.
appears on the display .
If the resistance is under 30 Ω, the beeper sounds.3.

or sub distributions). This category also cover all smaller categories (e.g. CA T
II for measuring electronic devices).
Ground potential
Personal safety
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly . These may become dangerous •
playing material for children.
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.•
Never pour liquids over electrical appliances and never leave objects lled with liquids (e.g. •
vases) on it or in the vicinity . There is a high risk of re or life-threatening electric shock.
In schools, training facilities, hobby or self-service workshops, handling of electrical devices •
must be monitored by trained personnel.
When operating on commercial premises, the relevant accident prevention regulations of •
workers’ compensation boards for electrical equipment must be observed.
When working with power supplies or chargers, do not wear any metallic or conductive chains, •
bracelets, rings etc. Never connect the power supply or charger with humans or animals.
T ake particular care when dealing with voltages exceeding 25V AC or 35V DC! Even at these •
voltages it is possible to get a fatal electric shock if you touch electric conductors.
Check the measuring device and its measuring lines for damage before each measurement. •
Never carry out any measurements if the protecting insulation is defect (torn, ripped off etc.). •
T o avoid an electric shock, make sure not to touch the connections/measuring points to be •
measured neither directly nor indirectly during measurement.
When during measuring, do not grip beyond the grip range markings present on the test •
prods.
Do not use the multimeter immediately before, during or after thunder and lightning •
(thunderstrike / high-energy overvoltages!). Please make sure that your hands, your shoes,
your clothing, the oor , switches and switching components are dry .
Product safety
When used in conjunction with other device s, observe the operating instructions and safety •
notices of connected devices.
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.•
The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, •
or dampness.
Use the product in closed rooms only; do not use outdoors. Always avoid contact with moisture •
such as in bathrooms or similar places.
Do not place any sources of open re, such as burning candles, on or next to the product. •
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely , take it out of operation and protect it •
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
is visibly damaged, -
is no longer working properly , -
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or -
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses. -
Please handle the product carefully . Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage •
the product.
Do not drill any holes or insert any screws into the housing to attach or mount the product. This •
can damage the product and interfere with safety .
Do not switch the measuring instrument on immediately after it has been taken from a cold •
to a warm environment. Condensation water that forms might destroy your device. Leave
the device switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature. Do not leave the
packaging material lying around carelessly since such materials can become dangerous toys
in the hands of children.
Battery safety
Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.•
Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to •
avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when in
contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there •
is risk, that children or pets swallow it.
All the batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in the •
device can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into re. Never recharge non- •
rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Miscellaneous
Repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.•
