Connecting to your computer via USB
You can connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable
and transfer music, pictures, and other files in both directions.
Your phone stores these files in the phone storage or on a
removable microSD card.
If you are using USB tethering, you must turn that off before
you can use USB to transfer files between your phone and
computer.
Connect your phone to a computer via USB
1. Connect your phone to the PC with a USB cable.
2. Open the notification panel and touch
(USB for ...).
3. Choose one of the following options:
f Charging only: Charge your phone via USB.
f Transfer files (MTP): Transfer files on Windows
®
or
Mac
®

NOTE:
For Windows XP, please install Media Player 11 (or later
version) when you use MTP.
f Transfer photos (PTP): Transfer photos using camera
software.
Connect with Windows Media
®
Player
You can sync music, picture, and video files from the computer
to your phone via Windows Media Player on the computer.
1. Connect the phone with your computer via USB.
2. Open the notification panel and touch
(USB for ...).
3. Tou ch Transfer files (MTP).
4. Open Windows Media Player and synchronise music,
picture, and video files.
Disconnect your phone from the computer
To disconnect the phone from the computer, simply unplug
the USB cable when you’re finished.
