12.4.3 Switching off the data service

2. If your phone does not have speech synthesizer data installed,
connect to Android Market and let it guide you through the process
of downloading and installing the data.
3. Follow the instructions to install the voice data.

Text-to-speech settings > Speech rate.
2. Select the speed at which you want the text to be spoken.
