Day/Night Settings
IR cut lter
With a removable IR-cut lter, this Network Camera can automatically remove the lter to let IR light into
the sensor during low light conditions
Auto mode
The Network Camera automatically removes the lter by judging the level of ambient light where its
sensitivity can be altered
■ Day mode
In day mode, the Network Camera switches on the IR cut lter at all times to block infrared light from
reaching the sensor so that the colors will not be distorted
■ Night mode
In the night mode, the Network Camera switches off its IR cut lter at all times for the sensor to capture
infrared light, thus helping to improve low light sensitivity
■ Schedule mode
The Network Camera switches between day mode and night mode based on a specied schedule.
Enter the start and end time for day mode. Note that the time format is [hh:mm] and is expressed in
24-hour clock time. By default, the start and end time of day mode are set to 07:00 and 18:00.
IR light detection
A speed dome camera often needs to capture images hundreds of meters awayAs the result, external
IR lights are rarely implemented with a speed dome camera for their effective range is shorter However,
if you do implement an external IR light, it is recommended to select this checkbox The IR light detection
function’s default is “off.”
Enabling this function allows the camera module to distinguish visible and infrared lights, so that the
camera module does not mistakenly enter Day mode when the surrounding environment is well-lighted
by an external IR light
NOTE:
1 When set to Night mode, the image display automatically changes to Black and White
2. There is no Preview button in the Exposure window. Conguration changes are directly reected
on the live view window
