Attaching and
detaching the grass
catcher bag

Assembling the grass
catcher bag
Fit the
7= grass catcher bag upper
part to the
6= grass catcher bag lower
part.
Press both
8= pins through the
apertures provided from
the inside.
Allow the grass catcher
bag upper part to
engage in the lower part
using slight pressure.
CAUTION
Risk of injury.
The engine must be
switched off or the mowing
blade must be disengaged
(MB 455 BC) before
attaching and detaching
the grass catcher bag.
Assembling the
handlebar
Insert
4= cable guide
(for starter cable) through
12= cable guide and fit the
13= cable into the cable guide.
Insert
3= bolt through
12= cable guide and fit
15= cable and
16= wiring harness
(only MB 455 E).
Fit
B= upper handlebar onto
both parts of lower
handlebar.
Insert
4= cable guide
(for starter cable) and
3= bolt (both with cable
guide) through bore from
the inside to the outside
and tighten securely with
2= rotary knobs.
Preparing the lawn
mower for operation

Secure cable to the lower
handlebar using
5= cable clips as illustrated.
Secure cable to the lower
handlebar using
5= cable clips and
11= cable ties
(only MB 455 E)
as illustrated.

Attaching the starter
cable
Press and hold
C= motorstop lever to release
the engine brake.
Slowly pull out
G= starter cable and fit into
4= cable guide.

NOTE
The machined grooves in the
threads prevent the rotary
knobs from becoming
completely detached from
the bolts (safeguard against
loss).
