3.5 Berekenen van de laadtijd
Een lood accu is voor ongeveer 80% geladen aan het begin van
de absorptie fase.
De tijd T tot 80% lading kan als volgt berekend worden:
T = Ah / I
Hierin is:
I de laadstroom (= stroom van de lader minus eventuele stroom
van een belasting).
Ah de hoeveelheid Ampère uur die geladen moet worden.
Een volledige absorptie periode tot 8 uur is nodig om een accu tot
100% te laden.
Voorbeeld:
Laadtijd tot 80% voor een volledig ontladen accu van 100Ah
wanneer deze wordt geladen met een 10A Blue Smart Charger: T
= 100 / 10 = 10 uur
Laadtijd tot 100%: 10 + 8 = 18 uur.
Een Li-ion accu is aan het begin van de absorptie fase meer dan
95% geladen en zal na ongeveer 30 minuten absorptie laden
volledig geladen zijn.
3.6 Hoge interne weerstand
Wanneer een accu aan het einde van zijn levensduur is, of
wanneer deze voortijdig faalt door sulfatering of corrosie, zal de
capaciteit drastisch afnemen en de interne weerstand toenemen.
De lader zal een dergelijke accu niet herkennen tijdens de
testfase (het zou immers ook een bijna volledig geladen accu
kunnen zijn).
Een zeer korte BULK tijd tijdens het laden van een vermoedelijk
lege accu is een indicatie dat de accu aan het einde van zijn
levensduur is en niet langer bruikbaar.
Opmerking: sulfatering kan soms deels teruggedraaid worden
door herhaaldelijke toepassing van de RECONDITION MODE.
3.7 Gebruik als voeding
De lader kan gebruikt worden als voeding (wel belasting maar
geen accu aangesloten).
