5.1 Formule de Peukert : capacité de batterie et taux de décharge
La valeur pouvant être ajustée dans la formule Peukert est l'exposant n :
voir la formule ci-dessous.
Dans le BMV, l'exposant Peukert peut être ajusté de 1,00 à 1,50. Plus
l'indice Peukert est élevé, plus la capacité effective de la batterie diminue
avec l'augmentation de l'intensité de décharge. Une batterie idéale
(théorique) aurait un indice Peukert de 1,00 et une capacité fixe, quel que
soit le niveau d'intensité de décharge. Le paramètre par défaut pour
l'exposant Peukert est 1,25. C'est une valeur moyenne acceptable pour la
plupart des batteries au plomb.
La formule de Peukert est la suivante :

Les caractéristiques de la batterie, nécessaires au calcul de l'indice
Peukert, sont les capacités nominales de la batterie (généralement pour
une décharge en 20h1) et, par exemple, pour une décharge en 5h2.
L'exemple ci-après vous montre comment calculer l'indice Peukert à partir
de ces deux caractéristiques.

1 Veuillez noter que la capacité nominale de la batterie peut également être définie comme
le taux de décharge en 10h ou même en 5h.
2 Le taux de décharge en 5h dans cet exemple est pris arbitrairement. Veillez à sélectionner
un deuxième taux avec une intensité de décharge substantiellement plus élevée, en plus du
taux C20 (courant de décharge faible).
