LEG SUPPORT
The leg support consists of a one-piece footplate
whose height can be adjusted.
Loosen the screw connections (1) and pull the screws
all the way out of the bracket. Move the footplate to
the position you want and re-tighten it again with the
screws (1).
L Make sure that the leg support is tightly
screwed before use.
The footplate (2) can be folded upwards and
downwards.
L Never grasp the wheelchair by the leg support
in order to move it. Only grasp fixed parts of
the frame (see also the section "For your
safety".)
L Make sure that the footplate is at least 6 cm
above the ground to avoid scraping the
ground when moving. This could damage the
wheelchair and endanger its operational
safety. The patient could also get hurt.
L
Get an authorised person to adjust the leg support.
KNEE PROTECTOR
The knee protector should always be used for the standing/upright function.
Loosen the T-screws (1) on either side of the leg support and
pull out the retainer they secure as far as you can.
Put the leg bracket (2) with the knee pads with their vertical
struts on either side into the retainers provided.
L The mountings and knee pads are movable, and they
only fix in place when they are screwed tight and there
is counter-pressure on the legs/knees.
Now press the leg bracket (2) against the patient's legs in
such a way that the knee pads are pressed beneath the
kneecaps.
L Do not restrict the knees' range of movement!
There are screws in the vertical mountings (3) that you can use to adjust the height of the leg bracket.
When the leg bracket is in the position you want, re-tighten the leg/knee bracket with the T-screws (1).
