Post-motor Filter
NOTE: Located at the rear of the vacuum cleaner is
a post-motor filter which can be removed and washed.
1. Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug from the
electrical outlet.
2. Push down on the latch to release the
post-motor filter cover (Fig.6/10).
NOTE: Remove the post-motor filter and wash by
running it under the tap in lukewarm (max 40ºC)
water. Vax recommends washing the filter every
6-9 months. Always allow the filter to air dry for
24 hours before replacing back into the cleaner.
Pre-motor Filter
NOTE: Removing the dirt container exposes the foam
pre-motor filter which can be removed and washed.
1. Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug from the
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the dirt container and lift out the pre-
motor filter (Fig.6/11). The pre-motor filter can
also be washed in lukewarm (max 40ºC) water.
Vax recommends washing the filter every
6-9 months. Always allow the filter to air dry for
24 hours before replacing back into the cleaner.
7. Clearing Blockages
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, the
power cord must be disconnected before
performing maintenance/troubleshooting checks.
1. Turn the vacuum cleaner off and unplug from
the electrical outlet.
2. The flexible hose can be disconnected from the
vacuum cleaner by pushing in the button on the
hose and pulling away from the machine
(Fig.7/1). Remove any blockages found then
reconnect the hose securely.
8. Storage
IMPORTANT: Always unplug the vacuum cleaner
from the electrical outlet and rewind the power cord
as directed before storing.
NOTE: Always store the vacuum cleaner upright or
base down.
