5 Initial start-up
5.1 Putting the appliance into service
● Start by filling the appliance with water (see section
4.5, page 28).
● Plug the mains lead into a fuse-protected 230 V~ AC
power socket.
● Adjust the temperature selector to setting “E”.
Water should be seen to drip from the valve
assembly while the tank is heating up. This
indicator lamp (2) lights up to show that the
pre-set water temperature has not yet been
reached. The lamp goes out as soon as the
pre-set water temperature is reached.
5.2 Operation
● Adjust the temperature selector (1) to the marking
that corresponds to the desired temperature setting.
The maximum outlet temperature can be limited to
40 °C in order to prevent scald injuries. This setting is
highly recommended if – for example – there are small
children in the household.
Please see section 5.3 for further information on
activating the scald-prevention feature.
