3. Children are not allowed to perform cleaning and user

maintenance, unless they are 8 years of age or older

and are supervised.

4. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the

reach of children under 8 years of age.

Electrical safety

5. This appliance must not be operated with an external

timer or a remote control system.

6. After use, before cleaning or if there are faults during

operation, always unplug the mains plug.

7. The power cord must be protected against moisture.

8. The motor block should never come into contact with

water or other liquids. If this should occur, the base

must be completely dry before operating the appli-

ance again.

9. The appliance is intended for household use only, or

for similar areas of use, such as,

 kitchenettes in businesses, offices or other work-

places,

 agricultural enterprises,

 for use by guests in hotels, motels or other lodgings,

 in private guest houses or holiday homes.

10. The appliance is not dishwasher safe.

11. For safety reasons, never place or operate the appli-

ance on or in the vicinity of hot surfaces.

12. Carefully and completely unwind the power cord

before use.

13. The power cord must not hang down over the edge of

the work surface.

14. Do not place the appliance or power cord near open

flames during operation.

15. Never leave the appliance unattended when the mains

plug is plugged in.

16. Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear

or damage. If the power cord or other parts are dam-
