1. Before the first use, wipe off both baking
surfaces with a damp cloth
2. Close appliance, insert plug (230 V~,
50 Hz). The red control lamp lights up and
remains on as long as the appliance is con-
nected to the mains.
3. Set temperature regulator to stage 4-5 and
the preheating begins. As soon as the requi-
red temperature is reached, the control light
switches off.
4. Open the appliance and grease slightly
with heat-resisting oil and brush (Since the
baking surfaces of the appliance are anti-
stick coated, grease them only before first
use).
5. If a slight odour should arise during the first
heating up of the new appliance, this is
completely insignificant.
Baking
1. Place the batter – best with a scoop – in the
middle of the lower baking plates. When the
appliance is closed, the batter spreads out
uniformly. If you fill with too little batter,
the upper part of the appliance does not lie
properly; the upper side of the waffle will
then not become as brown as the lower side.
If you fill with too much batter, the batter
runs out and soils the appliance.
2. Close the appliance immediately after filling
with batter, so that the waffles will become
equally brown above and below.
3. A few seconds after the batter has been
filled, the control lamp turns on; the baking
process begins.
4. The desired degree of browning can be
achieved with the continuously adjustable
temperature regulator. With a low setting,
you obtain lighter and with higher setting
darker waffles. All degrees of browning are
in the continuous intermediate range. When
the baking process has been completed, the
control lamp switches off and shows, that
the waffles are ready. The heating is inter-
rupted. If the waffles are too light choose a
higher baking setting, if they are too dark,
choose a lower setting.
5. After removal of the waffle, the appliance
can immediately be filled again with batter.
The control lamp turns on again. Continue
until all of the batter has been used.
6. After baking, unplug the appliance. It is not
switched off until disconnected from the
mains.
cleaning
1. To clean, unplug the appliance and let the
appliance cool down.
2. Never immerse the appliance into water or
any other liquid.
3. It is best to clean the baking surface while
it is still warm with a soft brush or with a
damp cloth.
4. Never use pointed or hard objects. They
would scratch the antistick coating.
5. The appliance must be completely dry
before using it again.
6. For storage, you can wind the cable around
the cable storage underneath the appliance
and then store it vertically.
