14. Tanto el equipo como el cable de alimentación no
deben operarse nunca cerca de llamas abiertas.
15. Utilice el hervidor de agua siempre en una superficie
despejada, plana y resistente al calor.
16. Observe que el cable no cuelgue sobre el canto de la
encimera.
17. El cable de alimentación debe tenderse de tal forma
que no sea posible tirar del mismo o quedarse engan-
chado en él.
18. No guarde nunca el cable enrollándolo alrededor del
equipo.
19. Utilice el hervidor de agua únicamente en el interior.
20. Utilice el equipo únicamente para calentar agua.
No caliente leche u otros líquidos con el hervidor de
agua, ya que estos rebosan.
21. Asimismo, no deben calentarse objetos como latas o
botellas en el hervidor.
22. Para evitar lesiones, asegúrese de que la tapa del
equipo quede siempre bien cerrada.
23. Para evitar lesiones por salpicaduras de agua caliente,
no abra la tapa mientras el agua esté hirviendo.
24. Para evitar que el agua rebose, no rellene el recipiente
nunca con más de 1,4 litros de agua.
25. No conecte el equipo nunca sin agua en el recipiente.
26. Asegúrese de que todos los usuarios, especialmente
los niños, conozcan los peligros por vapor y salpica-
duras de agua caliente. ¡Peligro de quemaduras!
27. Para evitar lesiones por salpicaduras de agua caliente,
no mueva el equipo mientras esté funcionando.
28. El hervidor de agua dispone de una protección contra
el funcionamiento en seco que apagará el equipo si
el elemento calentador se sobrecalienta. Deje que el
equipo se enfríe durante unos 15 minutos y rellene
el recipiente con agua fría. La protección contra el
funcionamiento en seco apagará el equipo que queda
nuevamente preparado para su funcionamiento.
