CLEANING AND CARE
1. Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
2. Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance and
unplug it from the power supply.
3. Do not immerse the base, power cord or
kettle in water or other liquids or wash them
in the dishwasher.
4. Wipe off the base and the kettle with a damp
cloth and a little dishwashing detergent. Do
not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel
wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or
disinfectants, since they can damage the
appliance.
5. The appliance must be completely dry on
the outside before you use it again.
DESCALING
1. The lime scale filter has to be cleaned
regularly. Please empty the kettle
completely and allow it to cool off. Carefully
remove the filter from the pour spout. Clean
the filter carefully with a soft brush under
running water. You can also place the filter
in a bowl with a descaling solution. Then
rinse the filter with clear water and insert it
in the pour spout.
2. To keep the appliance operating efficiently
and to prolong its service life, it should
be descaled regularly, depending on the
hardness of your water.
3. To descale the kettle, fill it no more than
half full with a solution of half water and
half household vinegar. Bring the liquid to
a boil and leave it in the kettle for a while.
4. Pour the descaling solution out of the kettle.
5. Then fill it with fresh water and bring to a
boil. Pour this water out as well. Then rinse
the kettle at least twice with clear water.
6. Of course, you can also use commercially
available descaling products; please follow
the instructions on the package.
1. Plug the power cord into the receptacle.
2. To fill in water open the lid by pressing the
lid release button on top of the handle.
3. When using the appliance for the first time
fill the kettle with water up to the MAX mark
and place it level on the base so that contact
is established with the power connection.
4. Do not fill the kettle with more than 1.0 l of
water and less than 0.3 .
CAUTION!
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be
ejected!
5. Switch on the kettle by pressing the ON/
OFF switch downwards into the „I“-position.
The kettle cannot be switched on if it is not
properly seated on the base.
6. Bring the water to boil and then pour out
the water. Then refill with fresh water and
boil again.
7. Whenever you take the kettle off the base,
the appliance is automatically switched off,
even if the water is not yet boiling.
8. The kettle automatically stops heating at
the latest when the water boils.
9. Of course you may also push the switch into
the „O“-position to interrupt heating.
10. Please allow the product to cool down for a
certain time before using the kettle again to
heat water.
CAUTION!
Ensure that the kettle is switched off before
removing it from the base.
11. Always use fresh and cold water. Do not
leave water in the kettle.
12. Switch off and unplug electrical appliances
after use.
