Die Manschette der Standardausführung passt für einen Oberarmumfang von 22 bis

32 Zentimetern.

Das Gerät erfasst einen Druck bis 300 mmHg und eine Pulsrate im Bereich von 40 bis

200 Schlägen/Minute.

Messmethode

Dieses Produkt wendet die oszillometrische Methode zur Messung von Blutdruck und

Pulsrate an. Die Manschette wird mit dem Gerät verbunden und entsprechend der

Abbildung auf der Manschette am Arm angelegt. Bei Drücken der Start/Stop-Taste

beginnt das System mit dem automatischen Druckaufbau.

In kürzester Zeit registriert das Gerät die kleinen Oszillationen innerhalb der Manschet-

te, die durch das Erweitern und Zusammenziehen der Arterien im Arm (Herzschlag)

entstehen. Der automatische Druckaufbau stoppt in der Regel ca. 40 mmHg über dem

zu erwartenden systolischen Wert (Fuzzy logic). Danach beginnt durch Entlüften der

eigentliche Messvorgang. Die Amplitude jeder Druckwelle wird in Millimeter Quecksil-

ber (mmHg) gemessen, umgewandelt und auf dem LCD als digitaler Wert angezeigt.

Es erfolgt die Feststellung von Systole, Diastole und Puls, danach wird die Manschette

komplett entlüftet.

Ein Wertespeicher speichert die jeweils letzten 30 Messergebnisse zum Vergleich.
