Das Domotherm
®
OT Digital-Infrarot-Ohr-Thermometer misst die Infrarot-
energie, die vom Mittelohr und dem umliegenden Gewebe ausgestrahlt
wird. Diese Energie wird von Linsen aufgefangen und in Temperaturwerte
umgewandelt. Die direkt vom Mittelohr (Trommelfell) erhaltenen Messwerte
gewährleisten die genaueste Ohrtemperatur. Am umliegenden Gewebe des
Gehörgangs vorgenommene Messungen ergeben niedrigere Messwerte und
können eine fehlerhafte Fieberdiagnose verursachen.
Zur Vermeidung von ungenauen Messungen:
• Zuerst ziehen Sie eine Schutzhülle über die Messsonde.
• Schalten Sie dann das Thermometer ein, indem Sie den 0/I-Knopf drü-
cken
• Nach Ertönen eines Pieptons (das Symbol der Temperaturskala leuchtet
auf) richten Sie den Gehörgang gerade, indem Sie das Ohr an der Mitte
leicht nach hinten und oben ziehen.
• Führen Sie nun die Messsonde in den Gehörgang ein, drücken Sie den
Startknopf und belassen Sie die Messsonde so lange im Ohr, bis das
Thermometer durch einen Piepton das Ende des Messvorgangs anzeigt.
