4. INSTALLATION RULES
You can use the unit in air exhaust mode or air recirculation mode.
4.1 Operation with exhaust air
If the exhaust air is to be led into a chimney or flue that is not in
operation, the consent of the competent personnel must be
obtained.
If the exhaust air is led through the outer wall, a channel passing
through the wall must be used, the width of which is equal to its
thickness.
The intake air is cleaned by the grease filter and is removed to the
outside environment through a pipe system. The air must not be
vented through a chimney that is used to vent flue gases from a
device, gas or other fuels (does not apply to units using air
recirculation technology).
4.2 Air recirculation regime
To neutralize unpleasant odors in the air recirculation mode, you
must install an unpleasant odor neutralizing filter. For the different
possibilities of using the unit in air recirculation mode, as well as for
compatible accessories, please consult the catalog or the
representatives
local.
WARNING - Danger of poisoning!
4.3 Safe mounting
Follow these safety instructions when mounting the unit.
Recirculated combustion gases can cause
poisoning. Heating sources dependent on room
air (for example, gas, oil, wood or coal heaters,
permanent heaters, water heaters) draw
combustion air from the space in which they are
installed and conduct the flue gases to the
outside through a gas exhaust installation (for
example, a chimney). In combination with an on
hood, both the air from the kitchen and the air
from the neighboring rooms are sucked in.
Risk-free operation is possible only when the vacuum in the space installation of the
heating source does not exceed 4 Pa (0.04 mbar).
If there is not enough air supply, a negative pressure is formed. Toxic gases from the chimney
or the exhaust pipe are recirculated in the rooms of the house.
Ensure sufficient air supply when using the unit in exhaust air mode and with a heating source
dependent on room air.
