8.2 Functions of the Two Tuners (Tuner A and B)
Tuner A and Tuner B have some different functions because the two receivers in this device
serve different tasks.
The output signals of Tuner A are intended for TV sets and monitors. They can be picked up from
the TV-SCART socket, the video output jack (RCA) and the S-VHS output jack. The TV-SCART
socket provides a RGB signal as well as the CVBS signal alternatively.
Tuner A is configured as the main receiver. Thus it has a kind of master (or reference) function
with respect to operation and programming the device.
The output signals of Tuner B are mainly intended for a conventional VCR or other AV recording
equipment. They can be picked up from the VCR-SCART socket in CVBS format. However, you
can connect TV sets, monitors or wireless AV transmission systems to this socket in order to
watch a different TV broadcast on a separate screen. The control is performed using the main
monitor where the broadcast received with Tuner B can be displayed and switched by pressing a
button.
