1. Connect wir elessly by using the default SSID (f ormat: TP-Link_2.4GHz /5GHz_XX XX X X ) print ed
on the label at the bott om of the product.
2. Launch a web br owser and ent er http://tplinkeap .net in the addr ess bar . Use admin f or both
Username and P asswor d to log in.
3. Set up a new Us ername and Passw ord f or secur e management purpose . Modif y the wir eless
paramet ers and reconnect y our wireless devices t o the new wir eless network.
T o configur e other EAPs, connect your device t o the EAP by the coresponding def ault S SID and
r epeat the steps listed abo ve. Y ou can configur e some basic functions in Standalone Mode . If you
want to configur e advanced functions, us e Controller Mode .
1. Download the TP -Link Omada App on your mobile device . It can be do wnloaded from App Stor e or
Google Play:
2. Connect your mobile de vice to the EAP by using the default SSID (format:
TP-Link_2.4GHz/5GHz_X XX X XX) printed on the label at the bottom o f the product.
3. Open the Omada App, and wait f or the EAP to appear on the Standalone APs page . T ap on the
EAP you want to congur e .
The Omada App is designed to help y ou quickly configure the common s ettings. If you want to
configur e advanced settings, us e the web page of your EAP or use Contr oller Mode.

Method 1: Standalone Mode
Befor e you start, be sure t o power up and connect y our devices according t o the topology figur e .
A DHCP server (typically a r outer with DHCP function enabled) is r equired t o assign IP address es
to the EAPs and clients in y our local network.

Omada Contr oller must have network access t o your Omada devices (the r outer , switch, and
EAPs) in or der to find, adopt, and manage them.

Method 2: Contr oller Mode
Choose fr om the following two types of Omada Contr oller:
On a PC with Windows OS or Linux OS , download the Omada S oft war e Contr oller from
https://ww w .tp-link.c om/support / download/ omada-s of tware-contr oller /. Then run the file and
follo w the wizard t o install and launch the Omada Soft war e Contr oller .
T o manage your devices, Omada S oft war e Contr oller needs to k eep running on your computer .
T ype 1: Omada Soft war e Controller
Omada Har dware Contr oller (OC200/ OC300) is a good alternativ e if you have no spar e PC t o keep
running Omada Software Contr oller in the network. It needs to be pur chased additionally .

T ype 2: Omada Har dware Contr oller (OC200/ OC300)
a. Make sur e that Cloud A ccess is enabled on your contr oller and your contr oller has been
bound with your TP -Link ID .
b. L aunch Omada App and log in with y our TP-Link ID . Then go to Cloud A ccess. A list of
contr ollers that have been bound with your TP -Link ID will appear . Then you can further
configur e the controller .
a. Y ou need rst nd the IP address o f the rout er . Open the command line on your PC and ent er
ipconfig. In the r esult list, find the Default Gatewa y, which is also the IP address o f the rout er .
c. Ent er the IP address o f the your contr oller in the address bar t o open its web page .
b. L aunch a w eb bro wser and enter the IP addr ess of the r outer . Log int o the rout er’s web page ,
and both the username and passw ord ar e admin by def ault . Then go t o Network > L AN >
DHCP Client List to find the IP addr ess of your contr oller accor ding to its MA C address.
R emote Management

Launch the Omada Software Contr oller on your PC . After the initiation process, the contr oller
automatic ally opens its web page . If not, click L aunch a Br ows er to Manage the Network.
As Omada Har dware Contr oller gets its IP addr ess from the DHCP s er ver o f the rout er , we don ’t
know its IP addr ess explicitly . Ho wever , we can nd it out on the r outer’s DHCP client list.

bound with your TP -Link ID . On the Omada Contr oller’s web page , go to Settings > Cloud
Access to enable Cloud Access and bind your TP -Link ID . If you have set it up in the quick
setup , skip this step .

b. Launch a web br ows er and enter https:// omada.tplink cloud. com in the addr ess bar . Enter
your TP -Link ID and passwor d to log in. Click + A dd Controller and choos e Hardwar e
Contr oller to add your contr oller . Then you can further configure the contr oller .
a. Make sur e that Cloud A ccess is enabled on your contr oller . By default, Cloud Access is
enabled. Make sur e that the Cloud LED is flashing slowly .

b. L aunch Omada App and log in with y our TP-Link ID . Then go to Cloud A ccess. T ap the +
