Als de auto vastzit
WAARSCHUWING
■ Bij het vrij proberen te krijgen van een auto die vastzit
Als u de auto in beweging wilt krijgen door te “schommelen”, controleer dan eerst
of er in de omgeving van de auto geen andere auto's, objecten of personen aan-
wezig zijn die geraakt zouden kunnen worden als de auto plotseling in beweging
komt. De auto kan ook een plotselinge beweging maken als de wielen weer grip
krijgen. Neem de grootst mogelijke voorzichtigheid in acht.
■ Bij het bewegen van de selectiehendel (behalve auto's met handgescha-
kelde transmissie)
Zet de selectiehendel niet in een andere stand als het gaspedaal is ingetrapt.
Als u dat wel doet, kan de auto onverwacht snel accelereren, waardoor een aan-
rijding en ernstig letsel kunnen ontstaan.
Voer de volgende procedures uit als de banden doorslippen of als de
auto vastzit in modder, sneeuw, enz.:
Auto's met Multidrive CVT: Zet de motor af. Activeer de par-
keerrem en zet de selectiehendel in stand P.
Behalve auto's met Multidrive CVT: Zet de motor af. Activeer
de parkeerrem en zet de selectiehendel in stand N.
Verwijder modder, sneeuw of zand rond het doorslippende
wiel.
Plaats een stuk hout, stenen of andere materialen die ervoor
kunnen zorgen dat de banden weer grip krijgen.
Start de motor opnieuw.
Auto's met Multidrive CVT: Zet de selectiehendel in stand D of
R en geef voorzichtig gas om de auto vrij te krijgen.
Auto's met Multi-Mode Transmissie: Zet de selectiehendel in
stand E, M of R en geef voorzichtig gas om de auto vrij te krij-
gen.
Auto's met handgeschakelde transmissie: Schakel de eerste
versnelling of de achteruit in en geef voorzichtig gas om de
auto vrij te krijgen.
Schakel TRC en VSC uit als deze functies u hinderen bij het in bewe-
ging brengen van de auto. (→Blz. 242)
