Making buttonholes
Set machine as shown in (fig A).
Snap on buttonhole foot.
When setting buttonhole foot, make sure button plate
a is set to back side. (fig B)
Incorrect setting may cause needle to break and injury.
Determine length
Mark starting point of buttonhole on fabric. (fig C)
Pull part a of buttonhole foot back and set button in
part as shown in (fig B).
When using soft or elastic fabric, it is recomended
to place interfacing material between the fabrics.
Set position of buttonhole foot
Lower the presser foot and align the slot b with
marking on the fabrics as shown in (fig D).
One Step Buttonhole Sewing
1. Set pattern selection dial to 12.
2. Pull down automatic buttonhole lever c and push
lever towards the back as shown in (fig E).
3. Hold thread lightly then start machine.
4. Buttonhole sewing is done in order, 1-4 as shown
in (fig F).
The front bar tack is sewn first.
5. Stop machine when the sewing comes back to
starting point. Then buttonhole sewing is completed.
It is recommended to make a sample buttonhole
on a scrap piece of fabric before making it on your
garment.
Caution!
Do not touch metal part of buttonhole lever.
Cutting Buttonholes
Remove the fabric from the machine. Place a pin
through the bar tacks to prevent over-cutting. Cut the
buttonhole along centre (center) with the buttonhole
cutter. (fig G)
Réalisation de boutonnières
Régler la machine comme indiqué (fig. A).
Mettre en place le pied pour boutonnière.
Lors de la mise en place du pied pour boutonnière, veiller
à ce que la plaque à bouton a soit dirigée vers l'arrière
(fig. B).
Si le réglage est incorrect, l'aiguille risque de casser et de
vous blesser.
Définition de la longueur
Marquer le point de départ de la boutonnière sur le tissu
(fig. C).
Tirer la partie a du pied pour boutonnière vers l'arrière et
y poser le bouton comme indiqué (fig. B).
En cas d'utilisation d'un tissu mou ou élastique, il est
recommandé de placer un matériau d'entoilage entre
les tissus.
Réglage de la position du pied pour boutonnière
Abaisser le pied-de-biche et aligner la fente b sur le
repère figurant sur les tissus comme indiqué (fig. D).
Couture de boutonnières en une seule étape
1. Régler le cadran de sélection de point sur 12.
2. Abaisser le levier de boutonnière automatique c et le
pousser vers l'arrière comme indiqué (fig. E).
3. Tenir légèrement le fil, puis lancer la machine.
4. La boutonnière est cousue dans l'ordre 1 à 4 comme
indiqué (fig. F).
Le point d'arrêt de devant est cousu en premier.
5. Arrêter la machine lorsque la couture revient au point
de départ. La couture de la boutonnière est alors
terminée.
Il est recommandé de s'exercer sur un morceau de
tissu avant de réaliser la boutonnière sur le vêtement
lui-même.
Attention!
Ne pas toucher la partie métallique du levier de
boutonnière.
Découpe de boutonnières
Enlever le tissu de la machine. Placer une épingle à
travers les points d'arrêt pour éviter des erreurs de
découpe. Percer la boutonnière au milieu à l'aide d'un
découd-vite (fig. G).
