Adjusting thread tension
A good seam is formed when the tension is well
balanced and both threads (upper thread and
lower thread) are locked together in the center of
the fabric.
After you finish sewing, check if the upper thread
and lower thread are equal.
Adjust the thread tension by turning the Upper
Thread Tension Dial.
aa
: Thread tensions are equal. Both threads are
locked in the center of the fabric.
bb
: Upper thread tension is too tight. Upper
thread lies straight along the surface of the
fabric. Correct the tension by turning the dial
to a lower number.
cc
: Upper thread tension is too loose. Upper
thread lies straight along the reverse side of
fabric. Correct the tension by turning the dial
to a larger number.
Changing foot
1. Set needle to it’s highest position by rotating the
handwheel towards you.
Move presser foot lever to the middle position.
2. Raise foot release lever and remove foot.

3. Place the desired foot on the needle plate under
the foot holder.
Lower the presser foot lever so that the foot
snaps on to the foot holder. (fig A-2)

du fil est bien réglée et que l’ensemble des fils
supérieurs et inférieurs sont serrer au centre du
tissus.
Lorsque vous avez fini de coudre, vérifiez bien que
la tension du fil supérieur et inférieur est la même.
Régler la tension du fil en tournant le bouton de
tension du fil supérieur.

L’ensemble des fils supérieurs et inférieurs
sont serrés au centre du tissu.

: La tension du fil supérieur est trop forte. Le
fil supérieur se trouve à plat sur le tissu.
Corriger la tension en réglant le bouton de
réglage de la tension du fil sur un chiffre
inférieur.
cc
: La tension du fil supérieur est trop faible.
Le fil supérieur se trouve à plat sur le revers
du tissu. Corriger la tension en réglant le
bouton de réglage de la tension du fil sur un
chiffre supérieur.
Changement du pied-de-biche
1. Réglez l’aiguille à sa position la plus haute en
tournant le volant vers vous.
Libérer le pied-de-biche en relevant le levier
presseur de pied-de-biche à sa position
centrale.
2. Levez le levier presseur de pied-de-biche et
l’enlever. (fig. A-1)
3. Placez le pied-de-biche désiré sur la plaque-
aiguille en dessous du support du pied.
Abaissez le levier de pied-de-biche de sorte que
le pied-de-biche tape sur le support du pied.

  • My stitch selector will only now do zigzag no matter what I do. It will not click and just goes round. I have taken the selector case off and have noticed a crack in the case shaft/shank. Is it possible to get a replacement? Submitted on 29-7-2018 at 17:16
