■ Voorzorgsmaatregelen airbags

● Gebruik geen accessoires op de stoelen die het gedeelte van de stoel

waarin de side airbags geactiveerd worden, afdekken omdat dat een

negatieve invloed kan hebben op een juiste werking van de side airbags.

Dergelijke accessoires kunnen tot resultaat hebben dat de side airbags

niet op de juiste wijze geactiveerd worden, helemaal niet geactiveerd wor-

den of per ongeluk geactiveerd worden, waardoor ernstig letsel kan ont-

staan.

● Sla niet, en oefen ook geen overmatige kracht uit, op onderdelen waarin

SRS-airbags aanwezig zijn.

Als dat wel gebeurt, kunnen er storingen aan de SRS-airbags ontstaan.

● Raak onderdelen van het airbagsysteem niet aan direct nadat de SRS-air-

bags geactiveerd zijn omdat deze heet kunnen zijn.

● Als u na het activeren van de SRS-airbags moeilijkheden met de ademha-

ling ondervindt, open dan een portier of ruit om frisse lucht binnen te laten

of verlaat de auto als u dat op een veilige manier kunt doen. Als er poeder-

deeltjes op uw huid zijn terechtgekomen, was deze er dan zo snel moge-

lijk af om huidirritatie te voorkomen.

● Als de delen van de auto waarin airbags ondergebracht zijn, zoals het

stuurwielkussen en de bekleding van de voorstijl en achterstijl, beschadigd

of gescheurd zijn, laat deze dan vervangen door een Toyota-dealer of

erkende reparateur.
