Rijden met een hybrideauto

Besteed aandacht aan de volgende punten om zuinig en milieuvrien-

delijk te rijden:

■ Gebruik van de ECO-modus

Bij gebruik van de ECO-modus kan het koppel dat correspon-

deert met de mate waarin het gaspedaal wordt ingetrapt gelei-

delijker worden afgegeven dan onder normale omstandigheden.

Bovendien wordt de werking van de airconditioning (verwarmen/

koelen) geminimaliseerd zodat er minder brandstof verbruikt

wordt. (→Blz. 208)

■ Gebruik van de hybridesysteemindicator

Milieubewust rijden is mogelijk door de hybridesysteemindicator

binnen de Eco-zone te houden. (→Blz. 225)

■ Tijdens het remmen

Rem tijdig en rustig. Er kan meer elektrische energie bewaard

blijven tijdens het decelereren.

■ Files

Herhaaldelijk accelereren en decelereren en ook langdurig

wachten bij verkeerslichten veroorzaakt een hoog verbruik. Con-

troleer de verkeersberichten en vermijd files zo veel mogelijk.

Laat als u in een file komt te staan het rempedaal rustig los

zodat de auto zachtjes vooruitrijdt en vermijd overmatig gebruik

van het gaspedaal. Dit helpt het benzineverbruik te beperken.
