Voordat u gaat rijden

■ Bij stilstand/tijdens wegrijden
Wanneer de auto stilstaat, wordt de benzinemotor uitgescha-
keld
*. Bij het wegrijden wordt de auto aangedreven door de
elektromotor (tractiemotor). Bij het rijden met lage snelheid of bij
het afrijden van een flauwe helling wordt de benzinemotor uitge-
schakeld
* en wordt de elektromotor (tractiemotor) ingeschakeld.
Wanneer de selectiehendel in stand N staat, wordt het batte-
rijpakket (tractiebatterij) niet opgeladen. Schakel daarom stand
P in wanneer de auto stilstaat. Gebruik daarnaast bij het rijden in
druk verkeer stand D of B.
*: Wanneer het batterijpakket (tractiebatterij) echter opgeladen
moet worden of wanneer de motor wordt opgewarmd, wordt
de benzinemotor mogelijk niet automatisch uitgeschakeld.

■ Tijdens normaal rijden
De auto wordt voornamelijk aangedreven door de benzinemotor.
De elektromotor (tractiemotor) laadt zo nodig het batterijpakket
(tractiebatterij) op.
■ Tijdens sterk accelereren
Wanneer het gaspedaal volledig wordt ingetrapt, wordt de ener-
gie van het batterijpakket (tractiebatterij) toegevoegd aan de
energie die de benzinemotor levert via de elektromotor (tractie-
motor).
■ Tijdens het remmen (regeneratief remmen)
De elektromotor (tractiemotor) laadt het batterijpakket (tractie-
batterij) op.
