WAARSCHUWING!
Bij het starten van de motor
Start de motor altijd terwijl u op de
bestuurdersstoel zit. Trap nooit het
gaspedaal in terwijl u de motor start.
Als u dat wel doet, kan dat leiden tot
een ongeval met dodelijk of ernstig
letsel tot gevolg.
Wees voorzichtig tijdens het rijden
Als zich een storing voordoet in de
motor terwijl de auto rijdt, vergrendel
of open de portieren dan niet totdat de
auto veilig en volledig tot stilstand is
gekomen. Als onder deze
omstandigheden het stuurslot wordt
geactiveerd, kan dit leiden tot een
ongeval met dodelijk of ernstig letsel
tot gevolg.
OPMERKING
Bij het starten van de motor
• Jaag een nog koude motor nooit op
toeren.
• Indien de motor moeilijk aanslaat of
vaak afslaat, laat uw auto dan
onmiddellijk controleren door een
erkende Toyota-dealer of
hersteller/reparateur of een andere
naar behoren gekwalificeerde en
uitgeruste deskundige.
• Auto's met automatische transmissie:
Bedien de selectiehendel niet terwijl
de motor wordt gestart.
Symptomen die kunnen duiden op een
probleem met de startknop
Wanneer u merkt dat de bediening van
de startknop niet helemaal gaat zoals u
gewend bent, bijvoorbeeld als de
startknop bij het indrukken iets blijft
hangen, kan dit duiden op een defect.
Neem onmiddellijk contact op met een
erkende Toyota-dealer of
hersteller/reparateur of een andere naar
behoren gekwalificeerde en uitgeruste
deskundige.
Uitzetten van de motor
Automatische transmissie
1.Breng de auto volledig tot stilstand.
2.Activeer de parkeerrem (→blz. 133)
en zet de selectiehendel in stand P.
Controleer of het
waarschuwingslampje van de
parkeerrem brandt.
3.Druk op de startknop.
De verbrandingsmotor stopt en de
weergave van het
instrumentenpaneel dooft.
4.Laat het rempedaal los en controleer
of ACCESSORY (stand ACC) of
IGNITION ON (contact AAN) niet
wordt weergegeven op het
instrumentenpaneel.
Handgeschakelde transmissie
1.Breng de auto volledig tot stilstand.
2.Activeer de parkeerrem. (→Blz. 133)
Controleer of het
waarschuwingslampje van de
parkeerrem brandt.
3.Zet de selectiehendel in de
neutraalstand. (→Blz. 130)
4.Druk op de startknop.
De verbrandingsmotor stopt en de
weergave van het
instrumentenpaneel dooft.
5.Laat het rempedaal los en controleer
of ACCESSORY (stand ACC) of
IGNITION ON (contact AAN) niet
wordt weergegeven op het
instrumentenpaneel.
WAARSCHUWING!
Uitzetten van de motor in
noodgevallen
Als u in noodgevallen de motor tijdens
het rijden uit wilt zetten, houd dan de
startknop gedurende ten minste
2 seconden ingedrukt of druk hem ten
minste driemaal achter elkaar kort in.
