50 1-2. Veiligheidsvoorzieningen voor kinderen

■Als er een baby- of kinderzitje
wordt geplaatst op de voorpassa-
giersstoel
Plaats voor de veiligheid van het kind
een baby- of kinderzitje op een achter-
stoel. Als het plaatsen van een zitje op
de voorpassagiersstoel onvermijdelijk
is, stel dan de stoel als volgt af en
plaats het baby- of kinderzitje:
Schuif de voorstoel helemaal naar
achteren.
Zet de zitting zo ver mogelijk
omhoog.
Zet de rugleuning zo veel mogelijk
rechtop.
Als er een opening aanwezig is tussen het
kinderzitje en de rugleuning, stel de hoek
van de rugleuning dan af totdat het zitje en
de rugleuning goed contact maken.
Verwijder indien mogelijk de hoofd-
steun indien deze de werking van
het baby- of kinderzitje hindert.
Zet anders de hoofdsteun in de hoogste
stand.
WAARSCHUWING
●Laat het zitje goed vastzitten op de
stoel, zelfs als het niet wordt gebruikt.
Plaats het baby- of kinderzitje niet los in
het passagierscompartiment.
●Als het zitje moet worden losgemaakt,
verwijder het dan uit de auto of berg het
veilig op in de bagageruimte.

WAARSCHUWING
■Bij gebruik van een baby- of kinder-
zitje
Neem de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen
in acht.
Het niet in acht nemen van de voorzorgs-
maatregelen kan ernstig letsel tot gevolg
hebben.
●Gebruik nooit een tegen de rijrichting in
geplaatst baby- of kinderzitje op de
voorpassagiersstoel als de
aan/uit-schakelaar voor de airbag in
stand ON staat. (Blz. 46) Bij een
ongeval kan het kind ernstig letsel oplo-
pen door de kracht waarmee de voor-
passagiersairbag wordt geactiveerd.
