Onderhoud en verzorging

■ Vervangen van velgen

De velgen van uw auto zijn uitgerust met bandenspanningssensoren en -zen-

ders (behalve het compacte reservewiel) voor het bandenspanningswaar-

schuwingssysteem, dat in een vroegtijdig stadium waarschuwt als de

bandenspanning te laag wordt. Bij het vervangen van velgen moeten er ban-

denspanningssensoren en -zenders worden geplaatst. (→Blz. 581)

WAARSCHUWING

■ Vervangen van velgen

● Gebruik alleen de in deze handleiding aanbevolen maat velgen en ban-

den. Een andere maat kan resulteren in een slechtere controle over de

auto.

● Gebruik nooit een binnenband bij een poreuze velg die ontworpen is voor

een tubeless band. Als u dat wel doet, kan dat leiden tot een ongeval

waarbij ernstig letsel kan ontstaan.

■ Plaatsen van wielmoeren

● Breng nooit olie of vet aan op de wielbouten of -moeren.

Door het gebruik van olie of vet worden de wielmoeren mogelijk te vast

aangedraaid waardoor de bouten of de velg beschadigd kunnen raken.

Daarnaast kunnen de wielmoeren loslopen en de wielen losraken, wat kan

leiden tot een ongeval met ernstig letsel als gevolg. Verwijder olie of vet

van de wielbouten of wielmoeren.

● Plaats de wielmoeren met de schuine

kant naar het wiel toe. Als de wielmoe-

ren worden geplaatst met de schuine

kant van het wiel af, kan de velg scheu-

ren waardoor het wiel tijdens het rijden

kan losraken. Dit kan leiden tot een

ongeval, met ernstig letsel als gevolg.
